‘Tis the season for holiday lights, and nowhere does the glow of Christmas shine brighter than at Reiman Gardens’ Winter Wonderscape. This walkable, interactive experience is fun for all ages and sure to become a holiday tradition. We’ve got five things to look for this year that will leave you positively glowing.

1. 17 Acres of Walkable, Magical Landscapes

We’ve all seen holiday light shows, but Winter Wonderscape goes beyond the ordinary to create a wholly immersive experience. You’ll walk through brightly lit tunnels, stroll beneath dancing light strands across a frozen lake, marvel at a 20-foot-wide fountain of lights, and make your way through a magical forest to see the famous Elwood the Gnome structure. And we haven’t even gotten to the disco balls, Peter Rabbit, and dozens of other interactive light displays. The path is around three-fourths of a mile and takes around 40-90 minutes to walk, depending on how many photo ops you take advantage of.

2. Instagrammable Moments

Reiman Gardens is filled with natural beauty every month of the year. But add in 150,000 dazzling lights to accentuate that beauty and you’ve got a bona fide memory maker ready for its closeup. Post your can’t-miss moments to your social feed and watch it light up with likes, shares, and a palpable sense of FOMO.

3. S’mores Making

There’s a delicious new addition to the festivities this year – S’mores stations! These will be located on the paved courtyard near Hunziker House, where you can purchase kits that include all the fixins – marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. Smiles not included but all but guaranteed.

4. Family Friendly Fun

Looking for something unique to do on family night or date night? Or do you have relatives in town that need an activity when everyone is getting stir crazy? Winter Wonderscape is the perfect escape for everyone on the nice list. And with popular eateries like Hickory Park, Cornbred, and The Café nearby, it’s easy to make it a holiday evening that no one will ever forget.

5. Easy Accessibility and Free Parking

Winter Wonderscape is an all-ages event with affordable tickets and priceless memories. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for members and ISU students, $7 for kids aged 2-12, and free for kids under 2. Parking is free and the entire path is ADA accessible, with 80% of the path being paved. It truly is fun for the whole family!
